Summary: Ren comes to and both he and Ed get cleaned up since there's still... massive amounts of blood. Everywhere.


T!Ed: *curled around Ren, still in Hei's bed and still a bloody mess, running fingers of his hair and resting his cheek against his, just holding onto him*

C!Envy: *stirs a little, head tilting slightly into the attention to his hair*

T!Ed: *sits up a bit at the movement, keeping his hand in motion* Ren..?

C!Envy: *lets out a quiet sigh of breath, eyelids moving a little before he finally gets his eyes open part-way, looking at Ed with a faint smile*

T!Ed: *smiles faintly in return and relaxes against him, kissing his temple* I thought I had lost you.

C!Envy: *shakes his head, smiling brighter at the kiss and hugging him tightly, burying his face against Ed's shoulder*

T!Ed: *holds him closer, stroking his back, and bites his lip* D-did they hurt you badly?

C!Envy: *pulls back a bit so they can actually look at each other, shrugging non-commitally and shaking his head in a "not to bad" kind of way*

T!Ed: *looks at him sadly a moment before ducking his head away* I'm sorry, I'm so sorry... Should have come sooner, but couldn't...

C!Envy: *shakes his head again, wrapping arms around him comfortingly and kissing him softly*

T!Ed: *kisses back and presses their foreheads together* I-I missed you so much... We all did. *keeps arms around him, rubbing his back*

C!Envy: *laughs soundlessly with a wry look at the last bit, arching a little under the rubbing, and giving his face about a dozen kisses to properly convey the "I missed you too" vibe*

T!Ed: *smiles, an actual, genuine smile, and kisses back everytime their lips get close enough* How are the wounds? Are the stitches bothering you at all?

C!Envy: *glows a little at the smile, nuzzling his cheek affectionately and shaking his head in a no before shifting a little so he can inspect the wounds which are mostly healed, having momentarily forgotten they were even there*

T!Ed: I can take them out whenever you want. *sits up, moving his metal leg away from them unconsciously, and trails fingers down Ren's uninjured arm, watching him and still smiling*

C!Envy: *nods, holding out his wounded arm in a "now is good" gesture, watching Ed's fingers move down the other before leaning over to kiss him again*

T!Ed: *kisses back before reaching for the knife left on the nightstand and starting to undo the bandages around Ren's arm* You're lucky that you can't scar. *looks at him with a sad smile, then sets about removing the stitches carefully from his arm*

C!Envy: *sits still for him, unflinching as he begins removing them and nodding in sad understanding with a significant glance cast to the scars on Ed's arms*

T!Ed: I'm going to have the leg removed. *removes the last of the stitches from his arm and starts on the ones sewn through his abdomen, not looking up at him*

C!Envy: *holds up the loose t-shirt he's wearing to make Ed's work easier, nodding in solemn understanding and looking at the leg in distaste*

T!Ed: *gets the stitches out of his abdomen, running fingers over his side a moment, then carefully begins work on the sutures in his cheek* They -- the doctors -- s-said I'd have to lose th-the rest of my leg, too... *eyes flicker to Ren's a moment before looking back at his task*

C!Envy: *holds his head still as he works, wishing the touch on his side had lasted longer and meeting his gaze in sad understanding, sighing softly*

T!Ed: I just -- I thought you should know. *kisses his cheek once he finishes, setting the knife and bandages off to the side before wrapping arms back around him*

C!Envy: *hugs him tightly, nodding and wanting to comfort him, raising a hand to his cheek to feel the almost-healed wound and deciding to locate some stones as soon as he feels like detaching... if ever*

T!Ed: *rubs his back and rocks them gently with a faint smile* I love you so, so much. I don't think I could ever say that enough.

C!Envy: *smiles, raising his head and kissing him softly in response, fingers trailing in his hair, body finally beginning to relax slightly*

T!Ed: *kisses back and curls against him a little* We should do something when we're both better. I don't care what, just something.

C!Envy: *smiles, nodding and very agreeable to this, holding him protectively*

T!Ed: *bites his lip, trailing a few fingers down his side again* Are you going to be okay..?

C!Envy: *shivers, glad for the touch and nodding, looking back questioningly in return*

T!Ed: *catches the question in the look, keeping fingers moving up and down his side, and glances away briefly with the tiniest jerk of his head*

C!Envy: *not sure whether to take this as a yes or a no, reaching out gently to stroke his cheek, looking into his eyes searchingly, grateful for the touch*

T!Ed: *tilts his head into his hand and rests his own on Ren's hip, looking back with a clear "no"*

C!Envy: *feels his heart break a little, reaching to hold him close with a sad sigh*

T!Ed: *presses into his arms, shaking a little and trying to hold himself together as best he can* I-I'm still going to protect you.

C!Envy: *strokes his back slowly, shaking his head and leaning up a little to kiss his earlobe*

T!Ed: *shivers faintly, holding onto him tightly* I have to. You stayed with me when they hurt me, I have to help you too. I love you, I need to...

C!Envy: *fingers his hair in a shh'ing gesture, resting their foreheads together with lips barely touching*

T!Ed: *falls silent, a very faint purr escaping his throat at the touch, and kisses him softly

C!Envy: *returns the kiss lingeringly, fingers still working through his hair, through the tangles, just beginning to realize how covered in blood they both and the bed are*

T!Ed: *hasn't even noticed yet about the blood bit, finding it almost too normal to care, and curls fingers in the fabric of his shirt, eyes sliding closed with a deeper purr*

C!Envy: *scritches down his neck, lips still together and eyes closed*

T!Ed: *melts against him, working lips against his gently, trailing fingers over his back*

C!Envy: *smiles against his lips, still playing fingers in his hair*

T!Ed: *smiles back, rubbing their noses together, and mouthing "I love you" against Ren's lips*

C!Envy: *reaches for his left hand, fingers playing with the rings on Ed's finger and lips mimicking the words soundlessly*

T!Ed: *smiles more and wriggles his fingers for him, relaxing against him*

C!Envy: *holds him loosely, wishing he would speak more but not overly concerned about it right now, plays with their fingers together*

T!Ed: *watches silently before glancing around the room, at last noticing the blood that they're laying in* ...Did you want to get cleaned up? And maybe eat more stones? *bites his lip*

C!Envy: *laughs soundlessly, lifting his left hand to kiss the back of it and nodding, looking around for the stones*

T!Ed: *frowns at th soundless laugh, but says nothing of it, reaching for the bag on the nightstand and handing it to him*

C!Envy: *tilts his head questioningly at the frown, concerned but reaching to take the bag, fingering a couple of stones before eating them hungrily, following them by several more, eyes getting darker and teeth getting sharp as the wounds heal and disappear*

T!Ed: *just shakes his head, leaning back against the headboard of the bed and watching him silently*

C!Envy: *eats another couple of stones, shaking his head as if to clear it, hair regaining it's shine and untangling while his skin loses the sallow sheen and the gauntness disappears, looking just like normal again save the loose soiled clothing and the smears of blood*

T!Ed: *smiles faintly, relieved to see him looking almost normal again* Better?

C!Envy: *nods gratefully, stretching and brushing the hair off of his shoulders before looking down disgustedly at the loose t-shirt and drawstring trousers he was deposited home in*

T!Ed: *looks at his clothing as well* They only gave me the gown. *smiles very faintly with a twitch*

C!Envy: *makes a face at that before glaring down at the clothes in exasperation, stripping off the shirt and tossing it aside, around the corner of the bed where he doesn't have to see it, and inspecting the flawless skin of his stomach where the wound had been*

T!Ed: *takes one of Ren's hands while he's inspecting his skin, watching again without a sound with knees drawn up to his chest, one cheek pressed against them*

C!Envy: *laces their fingers, using the other hand to pick at some of the dried and flaking blood over his abdomen with vague fascination*

T!Ed: Did you want to take a shower? We could both use one... *squeezes his hand*

C!Envy: *likes this idea very much, nodding in agreement and standing experimentally with another stretch, turning to look questioningly at the leg*

T!Ed: *looks around for his wheelchair, finding it on the opposite side of the room and sighing softly, taking his crutch from beside the bed and standing carefully with a small wince*

C!Envy: *follows his look to the wheelchair, moving over to retrieve it, pushing it towards him in offering*

T!Ed: Thank you. *smiles shakily and sits down, setting the crutch aside before taking the wheels and starting towards the bathroom*

C!Envy: *follows, looking around a little dazedly and finally realizing fully where they are, eyebrows raised*

T!Ed: *glances back every few seconds to make sure Ren is following, frowning at his expression* You okay?

C!Envy: *nods, looking kind of amused at their being in Clara's house, catching up to him and stroking his hair in reassurance*

T!Ed: *smiles at the stroking and enters the bathroom* ...Clara is going to kill us if we get blood all over everything. *gives him a morbid grin*

C!Envy: *is probably more relieved at that grin than anything before it, giving another soundless laugh and shutting the door behind them both with an amused shrug, mirroring the grin back and stripping off his pants, regarding them speculatively a second before methodically beginning to shred them*

T!Ed: *watches him shred the pants before stripping down to nothing himself, making it a point to not look at his right leg at all, feeling like he'll be sick if he does and keeping eyes off of Ren, not wanting him to look at it either*

C!Envy: *tosses the shreds aside breezily, not noticing Ed's glances and just wanting to be of help, going to stand near him, offering assistance*

T!Ed: *holds onto Ren tightly as he drags himself up and out of the wheelchair, wincing deeply as he puts weight on the metal leg*

C!Envy: *frowns at the pain it causes him, reaching to put an arm firmly around the small of his back for support, moving slowly to the bathtub so Ed can sit on the edge while he starts water running for the shower*

T!Ed: *clings to him as they move, grateful for the support, and sits on the edge of the bathtub, watching the water run* ...I don't think it would hurt so badly if I hadn't tried to run away from them... *glances at him quickly*

C!Envy: *frowns deeply, holding a hand out to tell the temperature of the water and nodding slowly, looking at the leg where it connects to flesh*

T!Ed: *twitches a little, looking down at the leg a moment before having to squeeze his eyes shut, going pale* Was awake the entire time. *shudders deeply*

C!Envy: *stares in horror, looking up at his face before moving to hold him tightly, stroking fingers over his back, trying to comfort him*

T!Ed: Th-they drilled into th-the b-bone, Ren. *clings to him, jerking his head and glancing up at him* I'm sorry, I shouldn't... Not right now. Shouldn't worry about it now.

C!Envy: *rocks him gently, stroking his hair and kissing softly down his cheek, shaking his head with an "it's okay" look*

T!Ed: *shivers faintly* ...I just wanted to die... *looks up at him sharply, horrified with himself*

C!Envy: *returns the look sadly, nodding in understanding, not about to hold anything against him, and especially not that, still rocking him gently*

T!Ed: Won't do that now, I promise.*squeezes him close, shaking*

C!Envy: *holds him tightly, lips moving soundlessly against his cheek*

T!Ed: *frowns sadly, feeling his lips moving, and rubs his back, pressing their cheeks together*

C!Envy: *shivers faintly, liking the attention and looking concernedly at him as he feels Ed's face morph into the frown, tilting his head in question*

T!Ed: *chooses not to pick up on the question, kissing his temple and speaking, voice strained and sounding a little distant* We should get cleaned up... *kind of forgot he was in the bathroom, looking around in mild confusion*

C!Envy: *still concerned, watching him contemplatively before nodding with a smile, wanting to comfort him before anything and shifting over to stand in the tub under the pouring water, reaching to help him sit on the tiled bench of the inside rim*

T!Ed: *smiles faintly and holds onto him as he shifts, sitting on the bench and leaning into the water a little, watching the blood running off of him in mild fascination*

C!Envy: *follows suit watching the blood, running fingers through his own hair to work out the tangles where the blood mats it and scrubbing at his cheek and abdomen*

T!Ed: *starts on his own hair, eventually getting it clean and free of blood, glancing at Ren every once in a while*

C!Envy: *washes his hair three times, scrubbing himself all over with soap til the water runs clear and then awhile still after that, not noticing the glances being too caught up in himself*

T!Ed: *after deeming himself clean enough, leans back against the tile bench, letting his eyes slide closed and enjoying the water*

C!Envy: *decides the same of himself a few minutes later, sitting next to him on the bench, knees curled to his chest, and leaning against Ed with a smile*

T!Ed: *leans back against him lightly* Ready to get out? *smiles back*

C!Envy: *nibbles thoughtfully on Ed's earlobe before nodding and leaning to turn off the stream of water*

T!Ed: *shivers with a soft moan, then moves to stand once Ren gets up, bracing himself against the wall with a slight hiss*

C!Envy: *still sitting, looks at the leg and more curious than anything, reaching to touch it delicately just below where it connects*

T!Ed: *freezes as he touches it, watching him frightened with wide eyes, starting to shake again*

C!Envy: *looks up at him with a small, comforting look, reaching up to touch his cheek and just wanting to make sure nothing is actually badly wrong with his leg, running a hand soothingly over his right hip*

T!Ed: *looks away, blinking back tears and staying where he is leaned against the shower wall*

C!Envy: *decides it isn't in any worse shape than it could be, standing and looking at him apologetically and giving him a soft kiss for comfort, reaching to lift him easily into his arms*

T!Ed: *kisses back on relfex and rests his head gently against Ren's throat, arms wrapped around his shoulders*

C!Envy: *steps out of the tub, setting him down for a second to wrap a towel around him before reaching for him again to help him into the wheelchair and retrieve his own towel*

T!Ed: *holds onto his arm as he gets into the wheelchair, adjusting the towel around his waist and hoping somewhere in the back of his mind that no one else is wandering around the house at the moment*

C!Envy: *towels himself off, having to think twice before wrapping it around himself, having grown so used to living alone in the apartment with Edward, moving toward the door*

T!Ed: *follows after him* You can wear some of my clothes, if you don't mind. Clara and Hei got them, I haven't had a chance to go back myself...

C!Envy: *nods, smiling in thanks and morphing his body as he walks to better fit the clothes, not having to do much*

T!Ed: *trails after him, chuckling faintly as he morphs* I can clean up the room soon, too.

C!Envy: *tosses his wet hair back, moving over to tear the sheets off of the bed once back in the room and flop onto it, not really caring that it's bare, rubbing at his forehead a little and nodding in assent to Ed's offer*

T!Ed: *watches him a moment, frowning slightly and going over to his suitcase, getting out a couple of simple outfits* Are you alright?

C!Envy: *shuts his eyes, nodding and massaging his temples, letting his towel fall to the floor and reaching for the clothes*

T!Ed: *watches worriedly, shimmying into his clothing before dragging himself up onto the bed, waiting until Ren changes before draping arms over him*

C!Envy: *smiles at the arms around him, falling back with eyes still closed and pulling Ed with him, trying to will away the ache*
