Just letting you all know that we have a new mod account now and it's

omgzmodz. It's the epitome of original names. Um, I will probably be moving everything over to that tonight or tomorrow afternoon, so if things like the application post show up in the community (again), that's why. Sorry for spamming you guys with that. I'll also keep the old application post around so new people can have that as a sample page since I deleted the previous one without thinking.

I'm also deleting this journal (rsiasta), but I'm still staying in the RP and continuing to be a mod, etc, etc. I just don't want anyone panicking considering the stuff that's happened in the past in this game. Yeah. I also know I've been pretty unreachable lately, but even if I'm not on AIM or anything like that, you can still get me by e-mail. My poor computer is almost always on.

In this, my first official post as a co-modly mod, I would like to say how excited I am by the new characters... yaaaaaay new characters! It occurred to me to remind y'all to post for each of your characters in the Contact Info post, so all the players can contact each other for logs, devious plotting, or idle chat. ...Not that I believe there is any idle chat... just devious plotting~!

This reminder goes to you veterans as well as newcomers... each character should have contact info.

Lisa... should we be deleting contact info for dropped characters? I'm looking right at The Prince over there....

Okay, so. Like I said in the activity checks post a day ago, I was going to post for possible events for the future. I'd like input on these, plzthx.

Pirates
Pirates is definitely still happening, don't worry. Basically, like Pirates of the Caribbean without being Pirates of the Caribbean. Set in Tortuga/random pirate haven. y/y?

Zombies
This one could be saved for Halloween maybe? Central overrun by zombies for a week, your character can be one or can fight against them, etc. I've been watching too many zombie movies recently.

The Lion King
...Yeah. I went there. I was watching it some weeks ago and laughing over some fanart, so why not? Characters would be turned into various savannah animals, so lions, cheetahs, ostriches, etc, etc.

So, for the last two at least, yay or nay? And if so, in what order would you like to see these happen? Do any of you have ideas that you'd like to throw out for events?

I've also been kind of wanting to do a month long event like what happened ages ago for Christmas, but maybe just as a middle of the summer thing. So random dimension swaps every week and for some every few days (because seriously, I loved the pony thing but a week for it was too long). I want to also kind of throw in a time period/different country thing too, like we had for Tokyo, Japan.

But yeah. Ideas, thoughts?

Also, as a note, I'm starting activity checks. Comments, logs, and journal posts count as activity, so yeah. If you're not doing that, you're going to get a warning.

I'll be checking every week. If after two weeks, you haven't done any of the above, you get a warning. Three warnings in a row will have your character revoked (and yes, you can reapply).

I'm thinking we can do what we used to where, at the two week mark, if you haven't done anything, a mini-event will be given to you in order to help you jump start things. You can either go with it or choose to ignore it and do something else. Just as long as you do something.

If for some reason you're going to be slower with things than usual or need to go on hiatus, please let me know via the status info post.

Dar and I were discussing this before, and I've spoken to a couple of other people in the RP that think it's a good idea, too, so the character limit is being changed.

You can have up to FIVE characters now, instead of three.

Hopefully this will promote the use of more multifandom characters and females, since we are desperately lacking in the female character department.

So here are all of the NPCs that aren’t listed on the NPC journal. I remember who played a small handful of them, but I kept them up anyway since I’m going to be going off this list when I go and add them. Also, it’s good if anyone wants to double check and make sure I didn’t screw anything up.

A bunch of the NPCs were tied to some plots or another, so if anyone has a name for that plot that those NPCs were in, let me know so I can categorize them that way. Doesn’t have to be anything fancy (hell, I was ultra creative and called the Hohenheim plot a while back Hohenheim Plot :p).

I’ve also got a couple of updates I’d like to add. Once we start getting new characters, every week I’ll make a new post with a list of them so you all know who to add, etc. In that list, I’ll also be adding who dropped so that you can defriend at your leisure.

I’m also going to be making up the Locations post tonight and I only have a few locations in mind. So far, they’re: Military Compound, University, Military Library, The Park, The House (Clara’s place, for those of you that don’t know), Easy & Ren’s Apartment, and The Labyrinth.

Now, if any of you have character specific or NPC specific locations, just post to the Locations post (once it’s up, obviously) with the name and a short description. I know there have been a bunch of nightclubs and cafes and things like that around, so if there any like that that get used a lot… yeah.

Also, if you want to make up a completely new place in Central, go for it. It doesn’t have to have been used before, and as far as architecture goes and things like that… bugger it. Multi-dimensions, strange things getting sucked in, etc.

The only thing I’m not going to allow are big landscape changes, like throwing a mountain in the middle of Central. If you want something like that (something that would stick around after a dimensional switch, say), post on the Locations post for approval with something to that effect in the title. And speaking of that, after our last Halloween event, I kind of wanted the River Styx to hang around at some part of Central, so… anyone else want that too?

And if anyone has anything they want to add to the descriptions in the locations post, please feel free to post them. I... suck at describing places.

EDIT: Completely unrelated to most other things in this post, but something I just thought of -- would anyone like me to bring back the Relationships Web? For those of you not familiar with it, since it hasn't been mentioned in ages, this post contains the old and newer webs that Lauren had made. I feel like it might be something fun to bring back and poke at.

So, the general consensus is that the game will now be multifandom. As such, that's what it is now. Hurrah.

I'll be tweaking things on the front page to reflect that and I'm sure a bunch of you have noticed that I've been reposting things. You guys can pretty much ignore all that since I fail and only just realized that Lauren had a lot of the important modly things still on her posts (like applications and such), so I had to switch them over to my account.

Also, as far as new characters go for being introduced into the game, Dar and I have decided that, instead of their powers being switched to alchemy or fizzling out or some such, they'll keep what they come with (so if the cast of Harry Potter come here, they can still do magic, etc). More chaos for the rest of us.

Everything still takes place in Central. I don't think we'll really need the introduction of a map because, as far as I know, we've all been blowing the description for the city out our collective asses and most of what's the same is that there's a military, the various libraries, and a couple of things like that. If it does become a problem, I will make a post listing the landmarks of the city and what they are. Which, thinking about it, might actually be a good idea anyway.

As I said in a post in the last mod thread, I'm going to wait a while in advertising so that any players here can switch to other fandom characters should they choose or take up others in addition to what they have now (keep in mind the three character limit), so that you can all have your first pick. I feel it's more fair this way since you all were here first and only had a pick out of the FMA fandom.

Also, completely unrelated, I've been sucking majorly at my modly duty of keeping the tags post updated. So what I'm going to do is go through a bunch of the logs and snag NPCS, find ones that don't have players listed for them, and post all of those. When I do that, let me know which NPCs you played on that post so that I can update the tags entry.

Sorry for posting this twice, it has been pointed out to me that I fail at polls.

I've been thinking on how to get more players for the game, and regular advertising means haven't been doing much. So... what if we change the game to a multifandom game and allow other characters outside of the FMA realm to join? As far as the game's history goes, it would be simple progression of the dimensions breaking down more to allow for this (since similar things happen around Halloween, anyway).

I think that by doing this, we'd probably be able to snag quite a few new players and make the game a lot more active and chaotic with the addition of more fandoms.

Now, as far as the game itself is concerned, nothing but extra fandoms would change. Everything would still be set in Central, we'd still do our annual Halloween thing, and there will definitely still be random dimension switches to make the characters cry. The format would stay the same, there'd only be OOC and IC versions of new characters, etc.

I'd really like opinions and input on this, on whether or not you think this is a good idea. Also, poll.
