?? How to Post a Log: An OMG!FMA Guide ??

All logs, before the cutline and when posted, need to have the following information:

Who: (The characters in the log.)
When: (The date.)
Rating: (What the rating is so we can shield our eyes if buttsex is about.)
Category: (The log type, ie, Fluffy Romance, Side Plots, etc.)
Summary: (What the log is about.)

The text in the log, excluding the information above, needs to be under a cut. Logs are to be posted to the [livejournal.com profile] omg_fma community, and include the appropriate taglines. If a log falls under more than one category, use more than one tag.

As a side note, all NC-17 rated logs must be f-locked.

For an explaination of what the different log types and log type tags mean, see the culine below.

Log:Event -- Any type of log that includes a large gathering of people for a purpose. Examples include dimension shifts not around Halloween and things such as Central's annual Flower Festival.

Log:Fluffy Romance -- Anything so ridiculously cute that happens between the couples in the RP.

Log:Halloween -- For anything that happens during the week of Halloween, when the dimensions screw with everyone.

Log:Misc Happenings -- Random things that have no true purpose, but happened anyway.

Log:Misc Pairings -- Things involving pairings of any sort that don't fit into the Fluffy Romance category. This could be between couples, one sided pairings, etc.

Log:Side Plots -- For plots of pretty much any kind that don't directly pertain to the main RP plot.

Log:Thread -- Sometimes events are hard to get together because not everyone can get on at the same time. In those cases, events will be posted to the community and tagged with this.

?? Tagging: For Use Outside the Ghetto ??

Since the old memory system has pretty much become obsolete, we've switched over to tags. When your logs are tagged, include the characters's names, the log type, and then just the simple tag of "log," so that all logs can be sorted together as well as into their respective categories.

Since characters's titles are different than what's on the front, you can find what they should be tagged with under the Sorted by: Character category on the tags listing page. The names of the log types themselves can be found under the Sorted by: Log Type category on the tags listing page or An Explaination: Log Types: Wait, What? under the cut above.

In addition to the tags above for the characters and log types, there are also various OOC tags for use around the community to help people find things much more easily. Anything OOC needs to be tagged with "ooc" in the tagline, as well as including other appropriate tags. A list of those can be found below.

Fanart -- For if you post something including art you've drawn for the RP.

Information -- Anything informative about the RP.

OOC -- Supposed to be tagged on all OOC posts, but is also used when something doesn't fall in the above categories.
