OOC: Event

Okay, so here's the deal. This Event is continuous. The stars are going out, one by one, inexplicably and to the bafflement of the scientific community. This will take a while... Central is urban, but dimly lit by modern standards, and above sea level, so... we'll say someone with good eyes could see something like 1500 stars on a moonless night with good weather. There are trillions and trillions of other stars in the universe that are not visible to the naked eyes, and those are going out, too. So... this is a gradual process. We'll say that by the Final Log there will be about 100 naked-eye visible stars left. Your characters all know about this now (thanks Max Wolf, double of an actual 1918-era astronomer), but it may be some time before the difference is visibly noticeable. Use your judgement.
